So You’re Going To Be 33

Happy Birthday and wanted to share

how 33 can be such a golden year

a time for change and starting new choices

to let your dreams become your goals

and celebrate a chance to let your life

transcend into a more exciting future.

Take some of these wonderful examples

of well known people

who by this age and achieved something remarkable,

there was Chris Farley, actor and comedian,

er, he died at 33 of drug over dose.

But then there was Eva Peron,

wife of Argentina’s ruler,

um, darn she died at 33 of cancer.

Ah, perhaps you remember John Belushi,

what a funny guy,

oops, he bought the farm at 33 from drug overdose.

Oh well never mind that,

remember Van Gogh, the great painter,

uh-oh, he died at 33 from syphilis.

Now since you are a writer

maybe I could mention John Wilmot, English poet,

drat, he died at 33 of alcoholism.

Just don’t pay attention to any of that,

think of King Richard II of England!

Um, rats, he died at 33 by they aren’t sure why.

Okay don’t panic, those are all coincidences,

nothing to panic about,

just see yourself starting some new experience,

only don’t let the possible risks concern you,

yet do use some common sense

unlike this other dude who tried sky diving at 33,

but forgot his parachute.

Have a great celebration,

hope this helped inspire,

don’t know why some seem to think otherwise,

guess you can’t please them all.

Thought for week: "If there is life on other planets does it mean there are no boring people?
