DOLLAR DAZE

How prosperous
is a cloud
or the flowers
in the field?
Yet they lack
for nothing
or worry about
a pay check.
So are we
Really
better off
than these
who aren’t a slave
unto a time clock?
I wonder at times,
especially when
all the trinkets of my little
world
find a reason
to break.
